A milder start to the day, currently 8C with a southerly flow, overcast, indications suggest sunny breaks, temp not to increase much but into the double digit range as the day moves along. Long weekend weather looking better all the time, any rain might be off until Monday, always wary of southerly influence, fog lurking not far away.

Donna & Patsy off on their annual spring look at Garden Centres, not great weather to be considering planting, gardens still a mess and ground very cold. This trip has been an event for many years, and they have a grand time touring, and getting ideas for the gardens and window boxes.

Donna & Emily had a good trip 'away', Rob managed to make it for lunch, Rob not coming home for the Long Weekend, The majority of the class moving out of their abodes this weekend, they all begin the practicum portion of the Course on Tuesday, not back together till mid June for a few days prior to Graduation. Seems the plan is assist those that have 'stuff' to move over the weekend, male bonding at its' best. The class is from all over the Province, seems Rob is about the only one with a chance in St. John.

Dear Rob:

We also have a very 'stiff' breeze, which wasn't expected so everyone is: 'what's going on with this wind?' It still is okay, but a hoodie is needed for outdoors.

I also have enough yard work to do that I don't know where to begin. Plants are coming up but the urge to garden just has not gripped me. Must be this rediculous weather!

Rob must be glad to be finishing up on this block. School, albeit enjoyable, really puts a damper on the wallet. Cody is always glad for his new block to begin, but by the end he is glad to get back to work and make some cash.

Well, before it rains? I must get a bit done outside - then inside - then off to 'kill me' yoga. :)

Have a great day and an even better long weekend. Wish I was spending it there.

Word. Chunks.

Mornin CHUNKS, still overcast, however sun is attempting to make itself known, temp now in double digits, a fair breeze in commence, but we are in the middle of the Bay, to be expected.

Fishing news good and bad, catch picking up, price going down, such is the cycle these guys must endure. Price now low enough for the speculation of the critters being placed in tankhouses has started. Emily expects to be getting a call for some work in the next day or so, she is quite anxious to have some cash flow, as we are.

Rob 'assisting' his fellow classmates this weekend, the group has come together very well, one member at the outset didn't fit, for whatever reason, and resigned from the Course within the first few weeks. He has made some good friends from all over the Province, a maturing exercise for sure.

Donna and Patsy not headed to Hampton for a look around, or that wasn't on the itinerary last evening, it the past they have gone for a couple of nights, but this year timeline cut down. Both have commitments for the remainder of the month, Donna has longtime friend from our northern Manitoba days flying in Tuesday evening and staying till end of the month. They have remained close and going back and forth since mid-70's, we were at there place this past fall, time to reciprocate.

Appears my yardwork list is being compiled so will have something to do this Long Weekend, great to have this level of consideration.

Josh has arrived, now in his second week, the transition to island life, and quirks slowly becoming known to him.

Have a good one.
