The start of the morning looking good, red sky, a slight draft from the north, temp 5C, weather to give showers and temp might make it to the double digit mark by this afternoon. Yesterday a pleasant surprise with temps making double digit and clear, warmer weather does exist.

Pleasant surprise folks from London, Ontario dropped by to check on me, Ruth & Brian have been visiting the island past few years and take time to drop in and say hello. Great to see them, Ruth shared they have been married over sixty years, were in business together, only recently selling the business and they can still argue once in awhile, however this was described as still able to communicate. Great to see them, and they dropped off some booty for us, all good.

Large flock of brant forming up along the shore, several hundred waiting for the command to move out. No other signs of birds, have had a solitary goose this past few mornings, either is immature or has lost his mate.

A day trip to the St. Stephen area, haven't been over that way since last fall, a quick foray across the border in order, before business meetings over lunch.
