Overcast, temp on the rise now-4C, the severe storm from the southern U.S. making its way north. Still iffy for snow or rain for our part of the Bay, looking/hoping more of a rain event for us, don't have to go too far from the coast for lots of snow, freezing rain till late tomorrow. Wind now a draft from the S, but to swing easterly Gale Force for most of tomorrow.

Rob has a reservation for tomorrow afternoon, will see if the boat is travelling or not, he doesn't mind the conditions, his travelling companion on the other hand not so inclined.

Ladies had a successful trip to St.John, boat traffic fairly light both coming and going. Lots of truck traffic on the middle trips, don't know if some held lobsters on the move or some other activity on the go.

Afternoon CHUNKS, we have had snow since noon, no wind, it is 4PM now, easterly starting to kick in, temp near the freezing mark. The snow appears to be changing over to rain, have a rainfall warning right after the snowfall warning is read. Looking like mainly rain for us till late tomorrow, then some clearing and possible snow flurries, a wintry mix or mess I guess.

Can be thankful we haven't had to contend with the mess south of us, folks are in hard shape, no power or ability to get around, not good.

Plan for the worst and take it from there, have a good one.

Are you getting sick of this rediculous weather yet? Seriously, I don't want to complain too much because I REALLY hate hot, hot weather. So, at least with this I can put on an extra sweater, or whatever and still go. So - biting the tongue it is. :)

I hope the kids can make it across. The wind is certainly going to be the kicker there. I am hoping there is no NBCC or University tomorrow and then my kids don't have to drive at all. The flooding is going to be the worst of this whole system, I think.

Well, time to get preps underway. Out to the government garage for dirt and then all the rest that goes with the 'what if we have a storm and power outage list'. Arg.

Good luck and hold on to your hat.

Word. Chunks.

p.s. I got a little note from rent-a-son in BC Interior yesterday. He works on a salmon farm out there. They were getting 50 knot winds and gusting to 56. He was pretty sure that he may never be heard of again. I am hoping for a note from him today. What is happening with this weather? Blarg.

Mornin BUG, assuming the severe weather has left your area, if not must be letting up some. Have had extensive coverage of the chaos on CNN, other stations from the Boston area reporting. The cloud cover has set in here. Temp hovering around the freezing mark, anticipated to rise mid single digits on the plus side, some forecasts suggesting substantial snow, next one has rainfall warning, will soon find out.

Warmer weather not far off, take care.
