A very Christmas like morning underway, large snow flakes quickly filling in the spaces the rain had cleared over the past few days. Temp -9C expected to drop into mid-teens with a NW draft 10-15KPH, by nightfall will be very cold.

Not the hubbub of a few years past, crowd just beginning to gather with gifts to be opened. At one time this far into the morning crowd would be checking on peers to see how they made out overnight.

No ferry trips today or New Years Day, only two days of the year the schedule ties up. Has always been the way, no great comments to have things change.

Merry Christmas,
Power back on in this slice of central Maine. It was out for about 30 hours, since mid-afternoon yesterday. I read in the paper that by Tuesday morning Central Me Power had 105 tree crews from in and out of state, 110 line crews from in and out of state and 40 more line crews coming from out of state. Driving down from MDI through Belfast was a winter wonderland of ice everywhere, beautiful but dangerous and hazardous. Good driving conditions but damage everywhere. Neither of us would ever have to cut another stick of firewood if we could pick up the tree limbs by the side of the road. Very similiar to ice storm of 1998 but much more localized.

Family all on deck here and accounted for along with various friends. Tis indeed the way to spend the Christmas holiday.

More snow/crap for ride home tomorrow.

Merry Christmas, from our house to yours, Rob.

May it be a blessed one, filled with family and good food. Make Miss Donna sit down and put her feet up sometime today! She's earned it.

We had a bit of ice on the birdbath this Christmas morn. It's slowly warming up but the temps won't get much higher than 50F today. Sunny and a bit breezy.

Rain on the way tonight. The temps will only get back down to the upper 30's, so no snow or ice, thank heavens.
