Yard is good for playing hockey, a skin of ice everywhere, temp -1C, overcast, with rain in the forecast changing to freezing rain this evening. A Wintry Mess for the next few days.

Traffic fairly slow, the mainroad looks to be in good shape, a bit of salt goes a long way to get the ice under control. Will need to get some for our yard and step.

Rob had a good day till the tide turned agains the wind. A combination of large swells and the bobble got to him, but is ready to go again on Monday, catch remains good. Appears he did well for not having had the job before, the pay is great so that helps in adjusting to what the elements are throwing at ya.

Afternoon,
Emily safely in Northeast Harbor waiting for 3:30 boat. Long drive from Moncton today in intermitent rain and snow on snow covered roads but she made and that is all that counts.

Rob showing that old motto of "mind over matter"-if you don't mind, it doesn't matter--was first spoken by a fisherman a long time ago and still applies. It requires discipline and a certain amount of toughness to suffer sea sickness and sign up for another day of fishing. Hats off to him.

Wood box full, generator started and refueled, roof on shop raked of snow so we must be ready for some icy/rainy weather. Our 2 feet of snow has settled to about 1 foot of snow already as it is close to 40 degrees with SE wind.

Ready for Christmas?

I've got a few small last minute things to get/do but I've got up my little decorations, my cards all got put in the mail in time and I have most of my gifts bought. Not wrapped but bought.

Dear Rob\;

I had a major workout getting the ice off my car before I even got to yoga - and for some terrorist reason - the yoga instructor felt we should do a really hard yoga class (I guess to get rid of all the excess chocolate?) I need to go back to bed now. :)

Roads very slick but ok if driving with caution. Better on the way home at 11.

Apparently, I am making a desperation run to town with rent-a-daughter.

Better get too. Just wanted to say 'hi' and have a good one.
