SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15/13

By: GRANDMANAN , 12:07 PM GMT on December 15, 2013

As predicted storm is upon us, easterly wind 30-35KPH, visibility down to less than 1/2 mile, temp -7C, on the rise might be just on the plus side later on this afternoon. Temp rise snow may be a 'wintry mix', other words a mess. System moving fairly fast by dark things begin to change with cold returning and flurries, clearing by tomorrow.

A few boats made a run mid-afternoon to take advantage of the lull between the weather patterns.

Afternoon CHUNKS has been a wild one, wind letting up temp at 0, swinging from easterly to north temp will soon drop. Lots of snow, barometer still down conditions will remain unsettled for a few hours yet.

A quiet afternoon of football and becoming a couch potato, lots of snowdrifts in the yard, but they will be there tomorrow.

Boat making her way home and calling it a day. Check out the Swallowtail Webcam gives an idea what the trip home will be like, fierce weather for sure.

Have a good one.

Dear Rob:

We are currently getting pounded! It has been snowing since 3:00 a.m. Light at first, picking up to heavy, now starting to blow. Should be interesting.

Everyone went out to parties last night. Kids all made it home with the one sober driver. Cars are now in town and will have to remain until much later. No worries, can't drive anywhere today at all.

Looks like a storm day so no doubt there will be movies, a few snowshoers drop in, wrapping and decorating. I love these kinds of days. No obligations to go out so just stay home.

Have a great storm day yourself.

Word. Chunks.
