A grand one this morning, red sun coming up over Ross Island, 10-15NW, temp -2C wind to remain light and temp to rise into mid single digits, appears the remainder of the week gives similar conditions.

A visual from our sun porch almost no evidence Ross Island(Fluke Point) Light ever existed. The wind took her down and distributed the remnants rather than in a large mound.

Swallowtail on the other hand coming to life, the windows are now in the tower, having been removed decades ago, tower is painted, work in progress to restore the wooden walkway. Now have a counter on visitors to the webcam, these stormy days folks having a look. Pictures have been good quality, certainly cab see the wave action in Pettes Cove and the Sawpit.

Donna off with a group to insure her Xmas Shopping is not fallen behind. A good day to travel, believe plan is wait for the late boat so as not to have a more leisurely opportunity to see what is looking.

Dear Rob:

Holy Cow! I think this is the first year I haven't taken a bet on whether the Lighthouse would remain standing. Honestly, every year- through thick and thin the grand olde lady has stood her ground. It is such a shame that she finally went. I have so many pictures of her and a lot with the kids in or on her. I have one of Cody sitting in the tower window, and some of looking out to sea from the tower. Always an adventure getting up there but glad I did. I even collected some of the old hand made nails one year and brought them home. A sad day.!!!!

Ken will be SO-O-O proud of 'his' new/old windows. We got the extended commentary on how it was going to look, what would be done inside after they were installed, etc. Can't wait to talk to him about it.

The weather is so changed today that I can hardly believe it. You couldn't walk outside yesterday without freezing your butt off. That said, I am off to do some outside decorating. Maybe .... :)

Have an excellent day. Word. Chunks

Good morning Rob.
The Queen saw pictures of the Ross Island light on Facebook. Nothing left of it I guess.
Have a good day while we bundle up on the prairie

Mornin Dar, a nice one it is, wind remains under tolerable limits, allowing the boats to have a chance to work for the next few days, temp on the rise, gotta like it.

The Nursing Home coming along very well, will be an asset to your grounds for sure, working inside and by the time you get going n the spring the grounds will be completed. Early spring is best time estimate for the building to begin operation, past time it was supposed to be completed now.

Yes Lighthouse is a loss, has been going down in knicks for past couple of decades. This winter a combination of southerly and full tides will insure the remaining pieces will be gone.

Have a good one.
