THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7/13

Overcast, mild 12C, rain not far away, wind 30-35KPH SW. Wind to remain high all day, rain for most of the afternoon, wind changing to NW temp to drop to low single digits.

Long range weather showing poor conditions for Setting Day, NW wind, cold, rain or snow, might suggest typical for the start of the season.

Ladies returned from assisting the U.S. economy recover. Had a grand time, 'saved' lots of money with the deals they found. The hospitality at the usual high standard, and worthy of comment. Lots of Canadian folks of same age doing the tour, a success for sure. I did find a bottle of red wine with my name it a grand gesture for sure.

Dear Rob:

Hello! Well, whatever wind we are getting today, or whatever day - is going to be a piece of cake. Sarah, in usual 'give your parents a heart attack while away' mode has informed us that they are in a direct line to get smashed by Super Typoon Hiayan - that's right - 348 mph winds. Set to hit Phillipines today and then on to Thailand/Laos for the weekend.

I spent the better part of last night sending 'instructions' for the Canadian Embassy, where to go, what to do, etc. Her father and I are just about ready to have melt downs, although she assures us 'it's all good - having a great time and storm shouldn't effect us too much?'

Now praying that it will veer North and directly over Laos thus only giving them the outer bands.

So, that is my exciting day! GOD! Say a word for us. It's going to be a REAL long weekend - sitting by the telephone, computer, t.v. ARG.

Word. Chunks.
