Weather more seasonal with a skiff of snow greeting one at daylight yesterday. This morning clear -!c, a chance of temp might reach mid single digits, a draft from N will continue for today, a carry over from yesterday.

Unable to get on this page yesterday, working fine this morning.

Long range looking not too bad for the Opening Day of the Lobster Season next week. Still a long way to go, last year we were on the side for at least two days before the weather let up enough to get the gear in the water.

Donna and Patsy have some nice weather to travel to Bangor, don't believe there is a plan as yet, other than to discuss where they will take a break to eat. Hospitality in Bangor has always been on the top end, no matter which establishment you choose to visit.

Afternoon CHUNKS, fall well underway in this part of the world also, woods full of hunters with some animals being harvested. Have so many that travelling at night, at any location, can be a hazard as they make their way to the shore for a bit of salt. What plants Donna did have are well manicured down to the ground now from animals grazing.

Lots of activity between the wharves as lobster traps being moved in greater numbers as the day draws nigh. Have heard of imports coming from the Magdellan Islands, PEI and other Maritime locations to man the boats. Larger boats require larger crews that are available locally, at least on the short term.

Have leftovers from yesterday to get me through this evening, seems some other possibilities around the fridge have been left to get me through till end of the week.

Cool and windy the order of the day, have had the fire going pretty steady this past week. Time to consider getting back in the woods and playing like a lumberjack.

Have a good one.

Dear Rob:

Friday: We got blown to bits. Saturday: +15 - shorts and hoodie weather - Sunday: Freezing - extra layer day. Today: Wind whipping around but full sun. It's weird.

We had no skiff of snow - thank God!

So, now to decide which chores to do - inside or out. I'm thinking out. Once I get going will probably be okay.

To my woods yesterday. First time this year I have seen a car or truck on the woods road. It was like international highway. Hunters galore. My land is not posted 'no hunting' but made a trip to make sure no temporary camps were being set up. Some people take full advantage, given the chance.

Well, have a great day. Hope your supper is more than a can of beans if the ladies are away. Word. Chunks. :)

Morning David, felt this site was being operated by the same outfit as the OBAMACARE people. All day yesterday might get on then freeze up and go no further.

Looking out over the harbour looking like fall fishing weather, northerly draft, cool temps, shorter days. Like your approach to the fishery, seems almost sensible, your catch doesn't appear to be suffering, gotta wonder.

Tank Houses the new 'lobster pound' as a consequence some interesting markets being developed. A strong possibility of local critters, being graded, trucked to Halifax, then to Korea. A good size market on a weekly basis with larger shipments to coincide with holidays in that part of the world.

Grey Zone Traps coming home to be overhauled to be going back in the water next week, don't believe anyone fishes the Zone till spring.
