MONDAY, OCTOBER 21/13

By: GRANDMANAN , 10:50 AM GMT on October 21, 2013

Looking over the harbour this morning no doubt the fall season is in commence. Sky a different hue, a strong SW breeze keeping leaves in the air, temp a modest 8C, expected to rise low teens then quickly dropping into single digits this evening. The weeks looks to be clear, however highs remain in single digits, lobster fishing season not far away.

Assuming Rob made it through the weekend no requests of any type, his weekly stipend must have worked out for him. Emily still beating the bush for some work, has been getting hours babysitting.

Lobster Season preparation far along, a number of boats remain in the haul-up, some bait yet to be dealt with, odds and ends.

Evening,
The weather for the last month was unbelievable. Each day was a copy of yesterday, which was fantastic. The weather patterns seem to have turned into a more fallish mode but still warmer temps then usual. Last few days winds have gusted to 25 mph but no cold bite to it--yet.

Price above last years lows thus far, particularly since soft shells started up in July. Welcome relieve for all of us.

I mowed the lawn today after I got in from fishing. If I winterize the mower (put it away behind something) does that mean I am done with the lawn until next spring?
