Bright sun, a very cool 4C, expect to rise into high teens by this afternoon, a cool 4C at the moment. Similar conditions for the next few days with the heat from the west showing up by midweek,at least in the NE U.S.A., can't imagine not the same here.

The GRAND MANAN V, full to the gunnels yesterday, mostly fellow citizens returning from various activities 'away'. One ferry will be full for a few weeks yet, as travel while let up some still in commence.

Rob is on his feet, or at least txting that he is, must prepare for school, first full day today. Emily still getting lots of hours, and enjoying her work in the kitchen.

A short weekend with all the activity, will be awhile before we can repeat. We are travelling, Tony will be lobster fishing mode till late winter, at least.

Good day Rob

Cloudy here 23C almost calm but heavy weather approaching from Michigan. Farmers here need the rain. At lest no threat of left over hurricane weather so far this year. We are located at the very bottom of Lake Huron which is a very quiet place weather wise. My weather station has been running since 2006 but on line since November 2009. I use an older Toshiba laptop to upload the data and it has been running since 2009 24/7. Site is: History.asp?ID=IONTARIO242
I hate to stop the laptop to clean it as the fan bearings are just a wee bit noisy when they cool down.

We passed through your area two years ago on our way back from a month wandering around Newfoundland. I wanted to go to Grandmanan but my wife and granddaughter wanted to get home. We travel via Class A diesel motor home.

Have a look at the weather page tell me what you think. I know you will miss the water when you are out there

Have a safe trip to the west.

Dear Rob:

Beautiful sunshine here - a bit of a breeze - but promising to be stellar -at least for this time of the year. )

I can't believe you have never been to Deer Island or Campbello. I mean, I totally can't imagine it. To me, and me only I guess, the outer Islands of Grand Manan, Deer Isand, Campbello, then on to places like the Fundy Trail, etc., are New Brunswick's hidden treasures. Every time you go you find something else beautiful and new. So, I am SO glad that you have made the discovery. You are going to wonder why you never went before. Keep going. :)

It is going to be so nice for you and Donna to get away for a bit. The kids are at the take care of yourself or starve age and now it is time for you two to have some fun.

Speaking of which - I am on vacation - so get stuff done around here and then I'm out of here.

Have a good one. Word.

Mornin CHUNKS, seems the heavy rain was universal, we had it off and on during our island hopping yesterday, but nothing too long in duration.

Had quite a day, never had been on Deer Island or Campobello. Not uncommon, but certainly easy to access this time of year with the ferry from Deer Island over to Campobello or if you choose can land in Eastport, Maine from Deer Island. We will be making the trip again poking around, beautiful spots to explore.

Glad to hear the faithful were out to the Art Show, even if the weather was less than inviting. Dedication will not be stymied by weather conditions.

Donna is packing today, running around getting 'things' in place so things run in her absence. Emily will be her fill in, where required, should be OK, just getting underway seems to be of concern.

Will have electronics with me, plan is to keep the blog going enroute and while there. I have referred to ramblings the last time we there, surprised to learn it was four years ago.

Have a good one.

Mornin MYEYE, a fine one it is, clear, calm, still cool but temp on the rise.

Would be interested in looking at your weather for sure, let me know and will peek in. The webcam for Swallowtail can be accessed by going onto the Village of Grand Manan site, look under photos link is displayed there, just use 'guest' for username and password. The webcam can be a bit slow, depending on numbers I believe, working on improving and possibly adding another view ASAP.

Thanks for dropping by.
