Dear Rob:

I think the ferry has been told by the government that when it is tourist season you must break down at least three times, just to pee everybody off. Just like: Tourist season? Jack up the price of gas so no one will want to stay in New Brunswick for too long! :)

It is absolutely torrential rain here and the wind is growing in fierceness. Almost like another Saturday but hopefully with no tornado to go with it Yesterday saw me repairing -i.e. rebuilding the lower garden rock wall. Half to three quarters done - hoping to finish today - not going to happen. Blarg.

So proud of you for hiking to the lighthouse. I go every year to get comparative pictures and to check her out. I love the walk, the birds, the isolation - the whole deal. Have not made the complete trip around yet, but hopefully, I will this year. I always spend too much time at the lighthouse and then am scared of the tide. And, p.s. I don't know how she is still standing either, but I say that every year.

Well, rain = housework (blarg) so I had better get with it. Have a great day and stay dry.

Word. Chunks.

Mornin CHUNKS, a bit of drizzle hitting the ground, still a welcome change from last week in the heat. Not expected to last too long, saves watering the plants this evening.

The Saturday weather you guys had never made it this far to the south. Certainly could see the huge clouds and anticipated a stormy evening, never occurred. I and a friend trudged across to Ross Island to the remnants of the Lighthouse. I look across each morning to catch a glimpse, this the first time actually been onsite. How it remains upright is unknown, defying the laws of gravity, for how much longer can't imagine it will be for long. A great hike, about 1/2 hour from the parked truck. Met a number of folks doing the same thing, great afternoon for the little hike, even if it was a bit 'sultry' weather wise.

Ferry down today, however expect it back on the run later on today. Rumour has the required part being shuttled to Blacks Harbour overnight, from Portland, Me.,my info not official, so will wait ands see.

Havea good one.
