Unfortunately weatherman has it correct again this morning, a cool 8C, fog making its way up the harbour, showers till the first of next week, no great increase in temps. A large chunk of our 'spring' getting away with poor, but typical Maritime weather that should have been out the door a few weeks ago.

A boat escorted to Seal Cove last evening by DFO, allegedly dragging scallops in the 'Grey Zone' with disregard for lobster gear is one of the allegations. The vessel a former Grand Manan boat, ISLAND MARINER, now out of Digby.

Rob's graduation plans starting to take shape, with family picnic, church service, Grand March and actual Grad Day and Safe Grad trip to SIX FLAGS dates all set.

Emily enjoying her hours at the Garden Centre, however as one can imagine pretty quiet at the till.

Dear Rob:

With all the discord about prices for lobster, fish, equipment and fuel ---- you would think that all would stick together, unofficially at least, so that all will benefit as best as possible. Anyone who would drag for scallops at the cost of hundreds of dollars for the other fishermen should be strung up the pole for all to see - my opinion only. They are either disparate or stupid - or a combination of both. UNREAL.

Emily must love being in the toasty greenhouse right about now. I haven't bought a thing - except topsoil to top the beds - because everything would not get a start if you put it in the ground. Arg.

An exciting time for Rob for sure. I hope you will be able to post a picture in his finery.

Well, off to attempt to get the lawn mower started. The first of year go is always an exercise in frustration. Blarg.

Hope you have your rain gear ready for the weekend. It is giving one hour of sunshine for the whole thing. God!

Word. Chunks.
