SUNDAY, APRIL 28/13

By: GRANDMANAN , 11:11 AM GMT on April 28, 2013

Grand looking morning, still cold at -3C, expect double digit temps by early afternoon. Weather a definite improvement from the past few weeks, and looking better.

Lots of harbour bottom evident this morning, complete calm, one of those tides that gives the appearance one could walk to Ross Island.

A bit of yard work completed yesterday, most of the debris that gathered over the winter now accounted for, a bit of trimming with more to be done.

Morning, Rob.

It sure sounds like Old Man Winter doesn't want to loosen his grip on you folks just yet. The end appears to be in sight, though. I'm sure you are all ready for warmer weather.

A bit grey here today, with rain in the forecast for the next 2-3 days, but the temps are reaching into the mid 70's.

Yard work has been going on here for several weeks and there's still some raking and bagging to be done.

I dumped some old planter pots yesterday and found oodles of slugs underneath. I'll have to put out the slug bait but I'll have to wait until the rain clears out.
