Clear and cold this morning, -3C being pushed around with a westerly 20-25KPH making it more like a -9C. Temp changing very little as the day moves along, temp not expected to rise much over next day or so, but the sun to remain, take a positive where we can get it from the weatherman.

Yesterday, especially in the morning high winds and rain, rain let up late afternoon. Lots of southerly wind on trip home, boat just laid over made a few bangs when swells hit her, but trip very comfortable.

Trip to St. John speedy, managed to buy lunch for Emily and Whathisname, then visit all the stores that needed to be visited, leaving a bit of coin at all of them it seems.

Emily back in Fredericton for final run to exams, seems confident things are going well. Looking forward to summer employment, has registered for the fall term.

Afternoon David, good to hear you have some traps working for you, your prediction you would be responsible for a price decrease is coming to pass. I would recommend you offer to stay on the bank if other guys would pay you to do so.

Haven't had a debrief from Tony, can't update on local goings on to any degree. As of yesterday new quota for halibut, a number of boats taking advantage of quota and good price, a few boats scalloping and more gear going after the elusive lobster.

Weather still not pleasant especially for you guys on the water, only thing going for ya today is the clear weather. Temp just above the freezing mark here at mid afternoon.

Have a good one.

Afternoon CHUNKS, appears your Easter Weekend was active, very quiet on this end, times they are a changin as they say.

Trip yesterday went well, one thing about this boat weather has to be quite severe before it deters Donna from making a trip. Her max used to be in 30KPH range, haven't found where it exists now, just a little apprehension and upon return comments that wasn't anything even if blowing 50KPH.

Had lunch with Emily and Andrew, now very apparent she is less dependant on her nan than just a few months ago. Nice to see her maturing, but still a bit of getting used to on my part, work this long to bring her to this point and there is happening.

Great to hear Gerald and Jeanne doing well, however will be a few days before they can set on the porch, akin to a witches breast here today, very chilly.

Didn't encounter any snow, but lots of rain going to St. John, and moslty fog returning to Blacks, good old Maritime weather.

Have a good one.

Dear Rob:

Yesterday morning we had high wind, rain and ... SNOW! What a mess. Today we have high winds and sun but the wind is keeping it pretty cold. Definitely need a sweater.

Called Gerald and Jeanne. They are both well and had folks in, from away, for Easter. They are both looking forward to the winds letting up and it getting warmer so they can at least sit on the porch.

All left here yesterday by 9:00 p.m. Thank God! I am exhausted from non-stop cooking and cleaning. Today I have to tackle the remnants of Easter - put stuff away, clean, wash etc. Never an end.

Well, looks like your trip was good, Wondered how you would make out on the boat. Good that she handled it fine.

Have a great one and hang on to your hat,

Word. Chunks
