A heavy frost overnight, warming up quickly to double digits by afternoon. Calm, tide running in like a river by the bar, lots of sun till evening, rain and wind for tomorrow.

Robins must have got the memo that spring was around here, lots evident yesterday, just about wherever you went.

Lots of traps in the water can see buoys near the shore in good numbers. Lots of boats out yesterday taking advantage of the ideal weather conditions, haven't heard what the catch has been like, price still on the good side.

Emily in Quispam whatshisnames younger sister confirmed this weekend, a family gathering for the holiday, will catch up to her tomorrow for a bit.

Happy Easter,
After several beautiful, wind free days, with sun and 45-50 degrees it is starting to scud over a bit. Rain in forecast for 24-36 hours with a S breeze. At least it won't be snowflakes.

400 traps set out and baited up this week. Price down to $7.25/pound. As much effort as fishermen from both sides of the border put into keeping our industry sustainable, one would think those who control the flow of the lobsters would want a sustainable market to sell those lobsters to. Somewhere between $1.60/lb and $10/lb is a price at which we can all survive financialy and still have a sustainable industry on either end of the spectrum.

Both girls in Easter mode in respective cities. Wonderful church service this morning as we dedicated a 9 panel set of sea glass murals donated by Ashley Bryan, a local writer, painter, artist all around wonderful individual. Company for traditional ham dinner tonight, all well with the world.

Dear Rob:

It is another beautiful day here. Bit of a breeze but otherwise - outstanding. Jealous that I will be stuck inside most of the day cooking. :( Oh well!

All had late nights. Me doing prep work until mid-night - everyone else going to a party until 3 a.m. Thus, all up late this morning.

I was glad to see your note about the robins. That means before long they will be here. Traditionally, we have another little snow when they come back. I always say: the poor robins won't be able to get anything to eat. :)

Well, on to chores. Have a great Easter and a great day.
