Rainfall showed up this morning, southerly 30-35KPH, a steady rainfall to increase and let up late in the day. Temp already 8C should reach double digits for the next couple of days, clear and cooler by end of the week.

Fishing news remains static, a few traps heading off shore, no large rush. Price of product remains good, remains to be seen once the catch increases what happens.

Local arena shutting down end of the month, a very successful winter has been the order of the day. The addition of the arena has made a difference in the winter activities that could only be imagined prior to the arrival of constant ice availablility.

Rob, thanks so much for the update. Also thanks for
the site simple grand manan. I have really enjoyed the pictures, plus the news of the boatworks being washed away, the hangar at the airport blowing away, the new gift shop. Great photos also.

Afternoon CHUNKS, good for Sarah to be on hand to support for her firends. The loss of one so young brings home just how tenuous our grasp on life actually is at any given moment.

Lots of rain and high winds the order of the afternoon. Did a pass by the Marsh over dinner hour, Donna's dad is correct, no brant till 15 MAR, a small flock bobbing in the water, not in the peaceful Marsh but the open Bay, also a large flock of eiders beside them. We had several geese in the yard yesterday, just takes the proper date to come around and spring things do happen.

Did you check out the FACEBOOOK site, SIMPLY GRAND MANAN, somebody sent it to me for reference the other day, interesting and nice photos.

Difficlult to stay dry, but will limit my time in the elements. Have a good one.

Dear Rob

Does it not seem like yesterday that the arena opened for the winter season and all were chomping at the bit to get on the ice? I know that winter seemed long, but truly, it does seem like yesterday that you said you were going to Cdn. Tire for stuff to get on the ice. Strange.

Sarah attending St. George today to add some support for roommates. Their childhood friend was the one killed in the snowmobile accident past weekend. It is to be a huge catholic funeral. A trying time. 23 years old and gone. To think, as of today, you probably couldn't use the ice on the lake to cross over any more. sad

Heavy rain at noon. Not sure when it is letting up. The wind is driving it. At least it is warm.

Well, have a good day. stay dry.

Word. Chunks.
