Full tides, much of the harbour bottom evident this morning. Calm, overcast a pleasant 2C, a slight draft SW. Weatherman suggesting high single digits on the plus side, with sun later on today. Weather conditons knocking the snow down in a hurry, stil be awhile before once can get into the bush due to the huge snowdrifts.

The only hint of snow around the house is snowdrifts, the lawn is brown, a depressing change from the brightness of the snowcover.

No fishery reports as yet, boats might have been at it yestereday, wind slight however a fair swell can be heard on the beach at high water.

Morning Rob:

We are on the same weather pattern as yourself. It is beyond pleasant outside. On the plus side for sure.

When I had heard that David got pounded in the blizzard I really didn't mean to that extent. Good Lord! it is a wonder there is anything left of him or his island.

Yesterday when I got home from work, and out of my car, I could hear my ravens screaming blue murder - not the usual `here she comes start screaming for food`thing. Anywho, upon investigation I found a great horned owl in the tree in the field. I have never seen one in the daylight before. I spent two hours in snow up to my butt gathering photos. He didn`t care. He napped and seemed quite happy to have me there because then the ravens left him alone. An awesome Tuesday for sure.

Well, enjoy the warm weather- seems we could be in for more of the winter stuff this weekend.

Word. Chunks.

Morning David, first read over your comments, thought I had ya beat on wind speed, then realized 112MPH a helluva lot more than 117KPH, my calculation says you guys were at 179KPH. Guess when you get at that level no matter how you say it too much of a good thing.

Rain and breeze taking the snow down in a hurry, will take it for sure. I have been unable or unwilling to get int the woods for next years supply for the stove, am getting pushed to git r done, now can't get in the bush even if I wanted to,same thing each year, procrastination a wonderful thing.

Have no updates on local fishing news, visual not much movement from the wharf, scallopers still at it when they can, price and catch seems to be holding for the few that go at it.

These longer days must make the trap shed a bit confining, how long before you put the boat in the water and go and harvest your fortune from the sea again?

Have a good one.
