Bay of Fundy December weather, temp 4C, threat of showers, overcast, calm. Looking for light rain for the weekend, not very Chrismas like, sure saves on the woodpile.

Emily felt she did 'alright' on the exam last evening, checked in with her mentor five times before writing. Another one this afternoon, then mid-week and Friday evening, almost believe she is ready to return to the rock for a 'short visit'.

Rob getting some hours on the lobster car, last evening and tomorrow. Plan is to save his extra hours to do his Xmas Shopping when we go fetch Emily next Saturday.

Christmas displays really something, Woodwards Cove the place to be nearly each home on the drive through lit up. Swallow Tail, halo visible from Pettes Cove would say Ken beefed up his light count, very cool.

Afternoon Dar, Tortiere sure sounds great, been awhile since have chowed down on a good pie. Folks in Manitoba introduced us to them, Donna hasn't built one for awhile will put my order in very soon. She getting prepared for tour and hosting annual cookie exchange first of the week the tortiere might have to wait.

Your place getting more neighbousd all the time, lots of activity next door, can see progress from the road when driving by, by the time you get here hope things well in hand.

Temp 8C lots of rain not great seasonal conditions but the home decorations worth viewing each evening before flopping in the chair for the night.

Seven dollars that far from point of landing the critters not good for guys on the water. Not too long ago $7 near the price at the wharf.

Have good one

In Ontario, it is very hard to get a mechanics job, this is what our son ended up being retrained for after losing an excellent quality control supervisor job because "Dana" who made automotive parts closed and sent all the work to Mexico. Took 3 years co-op in Niagara College and luckily now is being trained on the big transport truck engines, still making low wages. He is 40 married with one child. Not easy to start over. The nursing would probably hold better promise for a good paying job. But it is whatever he will be happy at. Darrell is happy working on engines even though it is very hard work.

Sobeys grocery store has lobster from Nova Scotia at $7 a lb. Might have to try them. Your comments on how good they are made my mouth water. I will check out the Coastal Transport site to see how to make reservations. Thanks for the info.

Will spent the morning making the filling for the Tortiere meat pies that we give to the kids every year. They are individual sized and we serve them with cream of mushroom soup on top delicious.
Still very mild here and raining.

Dear Rob:

Holy Cow - 100 people tromping through your house? However, probably half of those will be people you know for sure - so it will be a good opportunity to chat it up. I am sure that Donna is going to have it looking just wonderful. She is very gifted with her outdoor space, so indoors must be outstanding. :)

I bet Ken just had a time putting up the lights. Probably the swear words were a bit colorful, however, Ken is really just a big Teddy Bear wearing a hair coat. I hope I get to see them and also the Woodwards Cove homes. It must be so awesome that everyone takes such pride in their Homes, and enjoy the Christmas Season. Around here I see more and more people that basically it is about who drank the most at whatever party. Not against the parties, just don't like to make it the main theme. I envy you the Christmas spirit.

I hope Rob put his name in for the automotive. As you know, Cody had his name in for 10 months, or more, and actually never got picked off the short list until one week after school started.

I am going to check out that site for the reservations. Thanks for telling me all about that. I had no clue. Don went down to Blacks Harbour yesterday to get the lobsters and he couldn't believe how great the highway was and how short a time it took. I told him you said the same thing.

Speaking of lobsters _ YUMMY! I am still so stuffed I can't eat breakfast. Making lobster stew later with carcasses and left over meat Pat gave me. A good night.

Have a great day. Word.

Mornin CHUNKS, when on the Coastal Site the centre square will take you to the area for reservations. Also you can call the Ticket Office to achieve the same, definate opportunity for Return Trips, it is great.

Rob looking at Automotive in St.John, he has an interest in Nursing Program at UNBSJ, led to believe that is not the primary desire to attend in St.Joh, O sure.

Donna is hosting the House Tour next Friday, have a 'small list' of things that should be done by tomorrow afternoon to help finish up. She is like Emily a little anxious to have it 'just right', but looking forward to the folks, 100 tickets have been sold, believe four homes and one of the Churches constitute the tour. Funds in aid of the local Art Gallery.

No 'man looking' when exploring the Coastal Site, and you should get through the process with no problem.
