Sun in abundance this morning, temp at the 0 degree mark, being pushed around by a slight draft from the north. Temp to remain cool for next day, similar weather conditions as SANDY to end the week, however not as severe. Wind, rain and mild temps the order of the day leading into the next week.

Seems things are fine in Bangor, they managed to get around a bit yesterday, encountered some snow fall on Route Nine, tis the time of year.

Rob to Career Fair on the mainland, an annual trip, I would think for many of his group a chance to travel and have some junkfood is the highlight of the excursion.

Hauled through my gear again and dropped off a bit more. Still worth hauling but soon will throw the hat in and call it quits. Price still $2.50 but will get a dividend the first of the new year. As of now dividend amount is unknown.

I did my civic duty and voted upon coming in from traps. Seems the politicians of today are bought and paid for like a commodity on Wall St. The best we can hope for is for a change in how things get done in Washington, DC. I would like to get the members of Congress to come to the coast of Maine and spend a working day on a lobsterboat. Far too many of them have no connection to working people.

Tis the season for wind and nasty weather. Here's to the first day of your lobster season next week. May the winds be calm and lobsters plentiful and may you get paid well for your efforts.

Dear Rob:

Went on the Grand Manan weather this morning to see if there was a long-term forecast only to be confronted with a red screen suggesting a GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FOR TOMORROW. Apparently, by evening the winds could be backing to 35 knots. Oh, what joy - so batten down the hatches for that one. HaHa

Gerald is the big 90 this week and has been VERY persistant that there will be NO PARTY. What a party stink. HaHa! We may make the trip just to wish him well and husband can play cards for the afternoon with him - which is probably the best present he could wish for. Have to see what the weather is giving for around setting day. That might be when to go.

The job fair things always seem to be a waste of time, but Cody was recruited there for the coast guard, and up until the last gun was fired, he intended on going there. I still wish he had of, but he has to chose his career path. The point being is that if they have an animated recruitor then suddenly they can put some good ideas for universities into otherwise blank heads. Always somewhere to start any who.

Well, I have about two wheelbarrows of leaves left so freezing and all I am going to go for it.

Have a great day and hold on to your hat. DAVID - Hold on to your boat. :)

Word. Chunks.
