Ross Island beginning to loom out of the fog, tree line now visible. Total calm, just a hint of southerly once in awhile, temp a balmy 18C, patchy fog, higher temps and humidity the order of the day. Rain in the forcast for the weekend.

Another group through the complex yesterday, brought here by the MARS BAR Commercial, folks were from Ontario, glad to have them make the effort.

Summer routine starting to wane as school, university, fall fishing beginning to enter local conversation. All the above of great interest and well being for the community. The uncertainty of the fall fishery, locating bait, price a great concern to the future of the way of life we now enjoy.

We have had fog more often then not lately. Thankfully it has helped keep the humidity down for when it clears or when one gets in direct sun light, it is hot, hot and hot.

Lots of problems in the lobster industry. I would expect on GM many discussions as to best way to survive this onset and come out the other side intact and ready to re-create a viable lifestyle. It seems there is room for much discussion on US/Canada lobster issues. To me the issue seems to be how do lobstermen on both sides of the border acquire more of a say in how the profits are divided up. I am ready to get into processing, marketing and distribution on a small scale. A farmer gets pennies for the wheat in a box of Cheerios and we are at that level now.

As a child of the 70's, let the revolution begin.
