Overcast, calm. temp 11C, to rise a few degrees with showers for today, rain for tomorrow, similar temps and wind conditions, long weekend looking not too bad this far out at least.

The Municipal Election now in the books, incumbent mayor returning, five new Councillors four incumbent, a mix of female for the first time in many years. Three women will make quite a difference to the fabric of Village Council. Nearly 68% of eligble voters took the time to do so, a good turnout.

Garden Centre girls have today to finish up, last I heard the vehicle was already full. However feel they will rise to the challenge if a 'must have' shows up in thier travels today.

Dear Rob:

A million laughs - i.e. find someplace for an extra tray of plants even if it is on the lap for the whole way. I know 'exactly' what they mean! HaHa

I think I did a lot better with Sarah's departure yesterday than husband did. Last year we could sort of get hold of Sarah, if necessary. This year - no such luck. They are hiking so it is just every man for himself. Hub does not like that. I told him to just go with it, but it is not working. Honestly though Rob, if the kids don't do stuff now they never are going to. Just way to much obligation once they start working, renting, and owning 'stuff'.

We have over-cast conditions here with no wind. Sort of drab.

I heard the island voted in favour of no tolls on the ferry. I think that is the dumbest idea ever. If the government can't look after it when there is income, then what will they do when there is none? It is like the harbour bridge. Without the .50 toll there is no income and it is already starting to go to pieces. They could have just halved the ferry crossing price and Everybody would have been happy. That would be like $25.00 for me, hub, and car. It would take $25.00 in gas to drive that distance so, I would have been real happy. At least there would have been some income to pay crews, or whatever. Their pays will be frozen and everything else if this goes through. I just don`t know. DONE RANTING.

Word. Chunks.

Mornin CHUNKS, your level of anxiety for Sarah's adventure more than a little evident. We can relate to some degree, mentally chart Emily from the time she hits the road in Blacks or Quispam. A trip to Peru far different than a local foray, not much one can say to soothe the apprehension level, but have to go with the flow.

Donna & Patsy having a grand time, one of their many annual seasonal trips for one thing or another. As I mentioned brother moving from Moncton has limited thier range a bit, but not the zeal to insure they get just the right plants. Something akin to a deer hunter I suspect looker for the biggest set of antlers in forest.

Hope you guys can settle in after Sarah arrives, and make the best of the day.

ROB
