Calm at the moment, temp 8C, foggy, can barely make out the outline of Ross Island. A big change in the weather starting this afternoon, rain, gale force easterly and SE overnight and tomorrow. Lots of rain for the first couple of days of the week. A spring version of April showers I suppose.

Emily making her way home from Quispam on the 1:30PM trip, might have some rain to contend with, however the wind just beginning to come into play by that time.

Fishery news remains static, not much going on at the moment. Have noticed some guys wrinkling and a bit of clamming also first dulse being dried, all a sure sign of spring.

Mornin David, seems you will be ashore for at least the beginning of the week, just after 11AM, fog starting move off with a wind shift to NW. Breeze beginning some show, however looks as if this evening is when things start to really pick up.

You mention your inshore traps, with the easterly and SE forecast would expect you would have to move them off quite a bit to make sure they were in the area after the blow. Yesterday didn't seem too bad onshore, but quite a surf when near the beach. One fellow mentioned he had a hundred or so to set, knocked around so bad once he got to where he wanted to be decided the effort in those conditions not worth the return. He come home waiting for another day.

Haven't spoke with Tony this week, appears the price is headed down also, but not heard the $5/lb level as yet, last I had was in the $5.75 range. As you mention how far will it go.
