CANADA DAY 2011

By: GRANDMANAN , 11:22 AM GMT on July 01, 2011

Made to order weather for the CANADA DAY celbrations. Sunny, a slight draft from the west, temp a mild 17C, is a threat of showers and T-storms later on in the day, cloudy for the weekend overall, but not much moisture in the forecast.

Two ferries on the run, lots of 'strangers from away' travelling about, the summer population is definatly on the increase.

Emily set to return tomorrow, just haven't learned which trip they will be shooting for. Rob set to get some work done at grandfathers, and has been put on retainer for yardwork around this estate, that seems to be the iffy one.

Notice a couple of boats set up for netting, and a few rumbles of wier herring on back of the island.

Good Moening Rob.
The sun is shinning here and the wind blowing. Great drying weather but I Think too late foe the farm community.
Enjoy the day.

Dear Rob:

Ditto here - weather wise. Just enough cloud so you didn't bake standing around at the events. After town celebrations headed in to Saint John. A zoo as usual. It was fun however.

Concert on the lawn at 6:00 and hubby is beating me to get a move on. Didn't realize it that time, so better get a move on.

I hope you have a tonne of fun at the FIRE TRUCK pull. You will have to advise who won all the events - i.e. greasy pole, lobster pot hauling, and fire truck thing.

Have a great time.

Word. Chunks.

HAPPY CANADA DAY.

Good morning Rob. Is this the weekend for the Rotary Festival? I've been on the Little Rock for a couple of them and really enjoyed the wekend.
It's good to hear the "Strangers from away" aren't being discouaged by the ferry problems.
Enjoy your weekend

Mornin CHUNKS, day is starting out grand weather wise, however the westerly breeze already has hint of southerly. As a consequence sky is changing to becoming a bit cloudy, soon to be overcast.

The CANDA DAY events underway, lots of activity in Seal Cove with the Pancake Breakfest now in commence. Believe they will get most events completed with good weather conditions, the big draw this evening is the FIRE TRUCK PULL, live band, food(free) any one of the three standing alone a draw, combined lots of fun.

Farmers Market underway this past couple of weekends, lots of activity. As I mentioned the summer routine is now underway. For the next week GRAND MANAN ADVENTURE celebrations going on, without the guest of honour in attendance. She will be here when ready not before.

Have been gently advised a good opportunity to get some of the heavy work done outside.

ROB
