THURSDAY, JUNE 25/09

The dreary June weather continues, thick fog, can barely make out the low water mark from here, a muggy 16C, calm. This is now the forecast for another FIVE DAYS. One will soon begin to mildew.

The second ferry, Old Black Boat, comes on the run this morning. A ferry coming and going every two hours till mid-September. Unless things pick up drastically don't anticipate many full trips on any of the crossings.

Rob out overnight, Emily working right up until Sunday, left this morning @0530 for a day long babysitting commitment. She enjoys the job, and the kids sure like her, one wanted to go on the ferry the other day when she learned Emily was going, 'just to sit with her'.

Traps coming home in large numbers with some going by the house long after dark.

Dear Rob:

It is absolutely NOT going to be foggy for five days in a row because I am coming over. It is ALWAYS beautiful when I am there. Wishful visualizing. Hope it works this time too. It is so muggy here that the fog would almost be a blessing. Might get some sleep.

There is still no hot gossip about all the goings on at the Hidden Valley Camp Ground, but folks are starting to call it the Hidden Body Camp Ground - Find One and you get to camp for free. Terrible! Too bad they just wouldn't give out the dirt on what's going on.

One of Sarah's friends - also first year university - is volunteering to teach soccer to the little kids this summer. Apparently on Monday night, one little guy - age five - whipped out his private and asked the little girl next to him if she wanted to see 'his pickle". Poor Emily did not know whether to laugh or cry. She explained that you did not show little girls things that were supposed to be kept private and covered, but he wasn't having any of that. He wanted to know why? The mom was soon ushered over and told to do something. Thus, she felt Sarah's pruning plants all day at the garden center was a piece of cake compared to that. What a laugh.

Well, have a good one. Word. Chunks
