Witches breast cold this morning, -18C with a slight draft from NW, overcast. This pattern for next couple of days then warming near the freezing mark for highs later on in the week.

Finally able to safely get into my traditional wood cutting area yesterday. Still broke through in a part of the bog, at least that part will freeze in grand style over next few days. Will augment some the softwood from there with what I have down up the island will make a nice burning mix.

Another huge crowd at the rink yesterday afternoon. Count well over 150, all on the ice during the course of the afternoon. Lots of family participation, and kids of all ages. Right now one of those 'build it and they will come' scenarios. The object now will be to finish the arena portion of the project a mere $750K all that is required.

No fishing in these conditions.
