Fall In Texas...Maybe

I am always struck by the reality that there is no attractive fall foliage in Texas, to speak of, as in comparison to other parts of the country, particularly the North East USA.

But I have noticed my Bradford pear trees trying to impress me this year. I was pleased to see them recovering from the ice storm that attacked them a couple years ago when they still had leaves. And of course our drought before that.

Usually Fall here is green...may...

My New PWS

I am THRILLED beyond words to now be a part of the WU PWS owner's club!

I got an AcuRite 5 in 1 Pro Weather System. I have been wanting a PWS since FOREVER, and now I have one.!! (This one fit the pocketbook!)

And the Best part is...I installed and set everything up MYSELF!

Pretty Good For an Old Lady... I reacon!

Water Water...Everywhere!

After a VERY wet Spring that took us out of a 4 year drought, Summer came and put us back into another drought. THEN the rains came again...and now we have the wettest year in history with area lakes having the highest levels ever recorded. Rare Texas Christmas Day snow

A much anticipated cold air system brought beautiful, but RARE snow on Christmas Day 2012 to Texas.

I am just glad I was able to stay at home and look out the window from my WARM living room and ENJOY!

I am Losing My Job

They told me today officially..My job will end 9/30/09. I work in a hospital, and I am a billing coordinator/ auditor. My immeditate supervisor who just got in her position from another one in the hospital, has decided that a nurse needed to be in my position. (Since my job was not clinical in nature, and I am not a nurse) Hospital took 4 people's jobs and made 2 out of them, and adding more duties to the 2 left.
