Hey, Dad.

Looks like we've got some nasty weather in the

I just hope it clears out by morning.

I should see you between 11:30 and 12:30, depending on how early I get out the door and how many pit stops I make!

Looking forward to it.

Hey, Dad. The hummer, Phoebe, is nesting again!

The camera angle has been changed, so I don't know if she's renovating the old one or if she decided on new construction.

hehehehe, Pros. Those look like Wicked Witch of the West's Sunday shoes.

Really, really grinding my nose on the grindstone today. I can't see that I'm making much headway. As fast as I move it out, they give me more.

No one has made any threats to cancel my leave, so..... keep the fingers crossed.

Good morning. I posted the following image and comment on Bug's blog. I thought you might enjoy seeing this:

So I looked around and found some interesting 'odd' museums. The above is a photo from the VIRTUAL SHOW MUSEUM

What do you think? Nice shoes?

Hi, Dad, quick post. I'm being pulled in about
15 different directions today and not getting
much of anything donw.

I will be coming Friday unless they out and out
forbid me to leave. I'm going to have a hell of
a mess on my desk, though. Before I go and when
I get back.

Hi, Dad.

I may not have a nose when I get up there
Friday. It's on the grindstone and getting
rather sore.

just a quick check in; trying to get as much
as I can done before Friday.

Happy Sunday, Dad.

I checked the Abbeville webcam and I don't
see any snow. I'm wondering if I really
saw any last night. Maybe. The temps
weren't cold enough to make anything stick
around for long, anyway.

Sunny and cool here today. I need to run
to Walmart, get gas, get some money put on
my gas card for the trip up this coming
weekend and get some veggies for soup.

Got all the clothes washed yesterday but
had to leave some on the line overnight.
I was late getting them out and not
everything dried before dark.

I've got some picking up, dusting and
cleaning to do.

I have to have everything finished up
and my lunch ready before getting
settled down in front of the TV tonight.

Sunday nights are 'Downton Abbey' nights.

I have been totally enthralled with that
series on PBS. Anything with Maggie
Smith in it is always worth watching!

They have another series I'm getting
involved in watching: 'Call The Midwife'

It's set in London's East End in the early
50's. A group of nursing nuns and their
lay nurses who tend to pregnant women.

Both series are period pieces, very well
done and with great casts.

Got snow?

I was checking out your local forecast and they said there was light rain and a possibility of snow before 11 pm. I know you're already in bed but....

I checked the Abbeville webcam and there's a light dusting of snow in the city square. I think the camera is at the sheriff's office.

Hi, Dad.

Sunny but cold here. Temps are coming up and we should see 60F or so this afternoon. Good laundry weather.

I'm glad I went by the funeral home last night. It was good to see my friend and she was excited that I came. I'm not planning on going to the funeral today. She'll head back home tomorrow morning. I think she said she'd been here since last weekend and was with her mom when she passed. Her dad has been gone for a while. I think I recall hearing about that. It's been quite a while, I believe.

I'm still planning on coming up Friday but I will have to put my nose to the grindstone to get my desk cleared and in some kind of decent shape. I am pretty well finished with that project that has taken up all my time for the last week and a half.

So, good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, I'll be on the road Friday morning.

When I come up, I plan to fix your blog so that you have a few webcams to watch, including the hummer cam. There are some that are live stream (real time) and some that update every few minutes or so. Some are seasonal, like the hummer cam, and others have something going on year round. I've a few in mind, that I think you'll like, and I'll make it real easy for you to get to them.

Though this clutch of hummers has flown the nest, Phoebe should lay another one or two before the nesting season is over with in May/June. You can check once a week or so. I'll be checking, too, and will let you know if I spot anything new.

You two have a good day!

Hi, Dad.

You can still see hummers flitting
around in the rosebush. I can't tell
who is who but they're right busy in
there at the moment.

My tooth still feels a bit weird but it
will probably take a while for it to
settle down. I hope it does, anyway.

We'll be COLD tonight. Both of us!

My dentist appt today went OK. A routine
cleaning. They did take an xray, even though
I wasn't due for xrays. I was having some
issues with an upper tooth that we'd had
crowned last May, I think it was. Nothing
showed up on the xray but he ground it down
some. It wasn't fitting well with the
corresponding bottom tooth and that might
be why it was getting sensitive. He said
if it didn't ease off or got worse, to come
back in.

We'll see how it goes.

I just found out that a friend's mom passed
Wednesday. You remember that friend of mine
that live on Folly Beach, near the Sandbar
Restaurant? The one that had horses? I used
to go over and spend the night with her a lot.
In fact, I spent a lot of time over there all
through 7th grade and on up through high school.

She's the one that I went camping with up in
the Smokies the summer after we graduated
from high school.

The family is receiving at Stuhr's downtown
tomorrow from 3 until 5, so I thought I'd
go over after work.

I haven't seen her in years and the obituary
says she's now living in Florida.

Keep watching the hummer cam. They've moved the camera and you get an overall view of the rosebush. You can see them flitting around in there but no more close ups.

Hope it didn't get too bad up there, Dad.
That radar looks nasty.

REally windy here and I had a big mess to
clean up when I got home after work. Stuff
all over the front stoop and yard.

I'm hoping that line of storms will peter out
before it gets to us.

Have't seen the hummers since lunch. One came
back to the nest for bit before I had to get
back to work.

They didn't come back to the nest before dark
tonight, though. I guess they've fledged out

Now, for the next batch!

Will check in at lunch tomorrow.

Hi, Dad.

Both chicks showed up at the nest just about dusk and snuggled in for the night.

They're gone now. I'll just have to keep checking.

Phoebe should lay another clutch but I don't know what the interval between fledging out the last batch and laying new eggs is.

Really busy today. Like what else is new?

Keep watching, Dad.

The babies zip off and then come back.

Both were back in the nest after I got home
from work. Now, there's just one. He's
doing wing exercises again.

They might be back and forth for a day or two,

That project at work is still ongoing. We're supposed to have everything cleared out for
month end. My regular work is piled sky high.

I'm still planning on coming up but we'll have
to see what things look like next week.

I'll be keeping you posted.

Hi, Dad.

Only one chick in the nest at noon today.

Mum has been by a couple of times to
offer a snack.

OH! The bigger one just flew back in,
'cause Mum is back with more food!

There is just NOT room for both of them
in there now!

The flight deck has been busy today.

Everyone has been watching. The
larger chick has been leaving, coming
back, leaving, coming back.

Wab says he thinks that when the smaller
chick takes flight, they both may leave
the nest permanently.

We'll just have to watch and see.

Mum will lay another clutch but I don't
know how long it will be.

I wandered into Food Lion again this
afternoon after work. I wanted to see
if they had small paper cups. (They did)
A coworker is leaving this week and we're
having cake and punch for her on Friday.
I'm helping with the punch.

I'm glad I got what I did last week,
instead of waiting for the 50% price
cut they'll do day after tomorrow.
The things I would have been looking
for this week, are gone.

They've still got a ton of wine, canned
goods, some dairy and frozen food, cleaning
supplies and a few meats. Mostly big hams.

The beer cooler is still full. In fact,
they were stocking it up again. They must
have had a lot of beer in the back.

They're only giving 15% off on beer.
They're giving 25% off on wine. I wonder
why there's a different discount for those
two items? Kinda odd.

Hi, Dad.

Pros? One left? He came back, though. When I opened it up a few minutes ago for my lunch break, both of them were in the nest. I was surprised, though. I thought they'd be gone.

Bad news. Maybe. If I don't get this project finished and get my desk caught up, I may be forced to postpone my trip up next Friday.

They've asked one girl to help. Hopefully, between the two of us, we can get this done and out of the way before the end of this week. Then I can try to get my desk caught up.

I haven't been able to work my desk since last Tuesday, as this project comes before anything else.

Cross you fingers for me. Got mine crossed.

Keep watching the hummers. Gus (the cat) got attracted to them yesterday and was trying to get into the computer screen!

Hi, Dad.

Sunny and a bit cool here this morning.

I've been watching the blue birds, house
finches and sparrows bathing in the bird

It is the squirrels getting the dried
mealworms. Caught one of the little buggers
at it late yesterday, where I'd put some on
the patio table in the front yard.

I need something I can hang up. Like that
screen bottomed feeder you had at the lake.

No one seems to be using that jimmy rigged
worm feeder on a pole that I put together
a week or so ago. The worms only seem to
disappear when the wind is blowing, so you
know where they're going. On the ground.
They're feather light, dried. Maybe someone
will find them on the ground.

Not sure what I'll fix for dinner today.
I still have some ham in the freezer from
the Christmas ham. I bought a Stouffer's
frozen 'chicken and rice' bake while
stocking up in Food Lion during their 25%
off clearance sale, due to the store closing.
It's not one of Hubby's favorites but he'll
eat it.

If you've read my blog, you know I've spent
some money in Food Lion. I didn't buy too
much in the way of food items, though. It
was mostly paper goods, household cleaning
supplies, air freshners, detergents, fabric
softener, etc. Some wine. Cat food and
litter. The front bedroom looks like a

They'll mark it all down again to 50% off
this week. I could have waited but all
the good stuff I would be interested in
would be gone. There would be no selection
to choose from.

I might go back in there and see. But I
think I've gotten myself pretty well stocked

Hubby was a bit freaked at first but once I
explained that buying now, I got 25% off; if
I hadn't taken advantage of the sale, I'd
wind up buying these things in the weeks to
come at full price. Even using coupons and
if things were on sale, I probably wouldn't get
that kind of savings.

None of it will go bad. It will all be right
there, when I'm ready to use it.

Dad, when these hummer chicks fledge, keep

The website states: The season for nesting is
October through May/early June, and Phoebe
will lay four to five clutches per season.
Two eggs are laid per clutch, they hatch
after 17 days, and the chicks typically fly
three to four weeks later.

So, there should be more baby hummers to

Phoebe is a non migratory Channel Island
Allen's Hummingbird. She (or her descendants)
have been nesting in the same spot since 2007.
I'm not sure how long a hummer lives.

The webcam is in California. I'm not sure
exactly where. Southern CA, perhaps?

Hi, Dad.

I was glad to hear that you can get to
the hummingbird cam!

Goodness, they've gotten so big, so fast.

Have you seen them poop? That lift of the
butt and sudden stream. FIRE IN THE HOLE!

Those advertising banners are a bit annoying
but they come and go, so it's not too bad.

I heard there was some snow in some areas
of the Upstate. Probably little further
north and west of you. Pickens and Greenville
were two places I heard mentioned.

I'll have to fix your blog up with some direct
links to webcams I think you might like when I
come up.

I do hope you've been able to watch the hummers.
The two chicks will fledge out in the next day

Hi, Dad.

Really busy. (What else is new?)

I got hit with a quarterly project and,
with all the changes, this is going to
take me at least a week, if not more, to
complete instead of the 4-6 hours it used
to take me.

It's a very important project and I have
to more or less put my regular work on
hold until I'm finished with it.

I peeked this morning and, oh, jeeze,
things are already piling up.

Job security, I suppose, but it is
wearing on me.

Nice day out there but a bit cool. Temps
will drop pretty low again tonight but
whether or not we'll hit freezing, like
they say, is iffy.

Hi, Dad.

My appt yesterday was just for a regular
6 month "Hi, how are you? Any problems?"
type of thing.

He did take some labs to check my LDL levels.
He said that just the LDL check could be done
without fasting. I'd alreay had tea before
leaving the house. I didn't think...

Have you been able to get to the hummer
webcam from that link at my blog? Over on
the side in my 'Recommended Links?"

how fast they've grown. They are SO cute!

Only have 30 minutes for lunch today, since
I had a Dr appt this morning and got in

Someone posted a link to this video on Sandi's blog last week.

These are long tailed tits, a common species in Europe. In the winter, they roost huddled together to share body warmth. This short video shows a total of six tits getting settled in for the night. it's so funny how they don't just line up together; they elbow their way in from the top.

Happy Sunday, Dad!

It's cool and sunny here this morning.
I'll need to run to Walmart around noon.
It is time for my 'every other week' gas
run. I'll pick up some groceries and
things I've been jotting on my shopping

I hope you have been able to get to the
hummingbird webcam, since I redid my
blog and put up those links.

Tap me out a quick email, if you can.

Just say 'yes, I can see them' or 'no, I
can't see them.'

If you can't, I'll so another screen
print instruction at work and mail it
to you. I can't wait to do this when
I come up, as I think they'll be long
gone by then. They are growing so

Didn't Pros do an amazing job, painting
those kittens? I thought it was the
actual photograph, when I first saw it.

She is so talented. She paints, she takes
wonderful photos and, from what I hear, is
an amazing cook!

Looking forward to seeing you Feb 8th. I
wish I could stay longer but work is still
chaotic. Plus, if 'L' wants me to come up
the end of March for several days, while
she goes to Atlanta, I can't take a lot of
time off for the Feb trip.

I hear that Aunt 'C' has her hip surgery
scheduled for March 18th. I know she was
hoping to do it in Jan/Feb but I guess she
has to do it when the surgeon can schedule it.
She said if a cancellation comes up, they'll
work her in earlier.

I have not visited you for a while. I have not taken many photos lately so I am leaving you with a photo of my last painting. These cats were at a Humane Society in Michigan and were all adopted. My friend fostered them for a while and sent me a photo of them, I used the photo for my painting.

When you get tired of watching the Phoebe camera, the humming birds, you might want to peek at the kitties above.

Happy weekend to you.

Hi, Dad.

I redid my blog and took the webcams
down, since they were no longer working.

I have put both the hummingbird and the
owl cams in my 'Recommended Links', which
I think will be easier for you.

I have links to them in my header, also,
but those require an extra step or two.

I think using the 'Recommended Links' is
the way for you to go.

It got a bit cold here last night but I
don't think it went down to freezing.

The sun is out and there's beautiful
blue skies, so I've got the laundry

I still have not seen who is eating those
dried mealworms. I rigged up a saucer on
sectional feeder pole I found in the shed.
I put it over on the side of the yard right
between my knockout roses. Out of the way
and the roses provide a little perching

It's not real sturdy but it should be fine
for Carolina wrens, blue birds, etc. A
squirrel probably weighs too much and might
collapse the thing, if they try to climb up.

It'll do until I can find something else.

Best go. Need to get that last load out on
the line.

I put a better link for you on my blog.

Just go to my blog, like you usually would
to read my comments.

Scroll down a bit and look on the right. Just below the picture of you and "L" and the Sumter Co Museum.

You'll see 'Previous Entries for 2013" and then
"Recommended Links"

I put the link to the hummingbird webcam in the
Recommended Links. Just double click on that and
it will take you right to it.

I could do this on your blog but I'd have to
log you off, log me on as you, add the link
and then log off again. you'd have to log
back in. I can do that, if you want me to.

Hi, Dad.

I thought things were picking up a bit at
work but I'm deluged again today. It seems
for every step I take forward, I'm taking 2
or 3 backwards.

Looks like we have some cold weather moving
in. It is still warm today but it will
drop tonight.

Can you see those webcams on my blog? All
I see here at work is two blank black
squares. Wab said he sees them fine. I
haven't tried at home.

I can get to them here at work by going
to the original website.

Mama hummer is having trouble getting
settled on her nest. Her kids are getting
big and there's not much room!

When I checked the owl, the webcam was down on
the main site.

Better get back to work.

Love you.

Hi, Dad.

I don't know what my coworker was talking
about yesterday. I'm fine. Maybe, with
all the stuff going around and folks
getting sick, she was seeing illness when
there wasn't any.

I went to bed much earlier last night,
got a little more sleep and there
doesn't seem to be anything going on
with me. Knock on wood.

Pass the hand sanitizer!

I saw a red tailed hawk swoop through
the yard yesterday, just about dark.
He landed up in the oak tree next door.
The house on our left, at the very end.
Scared the bejeebers out of Gus, though!
I don't think the hawk was after him;
he was just passing through. Gus still
ran under the truck.

Hi, Dad.

We've got some nippy weather looming next
week. Lows possibly down to the 20's.

I got to work this morning and the girl
who sits across the aisle from my cube
came over and asked me, "Are you alright?"

I said, "Yeah, why?"

She said, "You look like death warmed over.
You're pale and your eyes look bad."

She wasn't happy until I drank one of those
megadose Vit C supplement drinks.

Well, I feel OK. I guess.

I'm kinda tired but that's nothing unusual.
I sat up too late last night, too, watching
something on TV.

I'm kinda chilly but that's not odd, either.
They keep this office cold all the time.

So, now I'm looking in my mirror, wondering
if I'm coming down with something. Feeling
my head for fever but my hands are always
like blocks of ice in here, so that really
doesn't tell me much.

I wish she'd kept quiet! She's got me
worried now.... Oh, the power of suggestion!

Hi, Dad.

Jr, the owlet, is getting very excited at his view from the balcony. Lots of head bobbing and peering around, stretching his wings.

Mama hummer just fed her babies. How she does it without poking holes in their gullets, I don't know. I suppose she does, though!

Hubby and I spotted our pair of Carolina wrens late yesterday afternoon.

We're getting more and more reports of illnesses going around like wildfire. Colds, various viruses, stomach bugs, as well as the flu. We've got people out at work.

Well, back to the grindstone.

The owlet is still there but he's not
going to be there much longer. He's
flying from the balcony railing to the
balcony floor, up the the top of a dog
house that's out there and then to the

He was sitting on the railing, earlier,
and really looking at things going on
out in the world.

I don't see fuzzy feathers anymore,

The hummer babies look like they may
open up their eyes before too long.

Hi, Dad, from a tropical Charleston!

It was HOT here yesterday. I opened
up the doors and raised the screens
on the storm doors, to get a cross
breeze. Turned on the ceiling fan.
Dug out summer pants and shirt.

One good thing: the wash dried real
fast on the line!

I spent some time watching the hummer
cam. Saw mom feeding the babies a
few times.

The quality of the owl cam is really
bad this year. I think they need a
new camera. It was pretty good last
year, when I was watching.

I'm going to make beef stew today.

We ate SO much pork over the holidays
and I'm tired of pork. We had that
big ham for Christmas and on through
New Years. I've still got ham in
the freezer.

We had pulled pork for New Years Day,
along with collards and black eyed
peas for money and luck.

We had Italian sausage one Sunday.

I only cook on Sundays. I usually
try to fix something that will give
us a couple of days to eat up. The
rest of the time, we get whatever
we want: canned soup, sandwiches,
frozen entrees, leftovers, etc.

Most times, he'd tell me that he
wasn't hungry; that he'd eaten
something earlier. He'll fix himself
a sandwich or something around 3:30 or
so. I get home about 4:15. He's off
to bed sometimes as early as 5:00.

So.... Sunday is my big cooking day.

Get outside today on the deck and enjoy
the warmth!

Hi, Dad.

Happy Saturday.

I got your email. I'll have to see what I
can do. It is too early yet to put in a
leave request for the end of March. I will
make plans to come up before then. Maybe
around the first weekend or two of Feb.
But it will probably be a very short visit.

Work is still chaos right now and leave
approval will depend on whether or not
things settle down, as far as my work load

I will be working MLK Day. The office will
be officially closed but there's no way I
can take it off. I have too much on my
plate. We were told that we could work
but it would have to be essential work,
not just piddling around. If I work MLK,
it might get me ahead a little bit, so
that I can get leave to come up in early

When trying to catch the owl cam, you
have to keep in mind the time difference
between here and South Africa.

Sometimes, they turn the camera off, too.

I just looked (9:45 a.m.) and I spotted
one of the adults and Jr.

Sadly, the quality of the owl cam is
not very good this year. The image is
about as fuzzy as Jr is.

Isn't that hummer cam amazing? I've
seen mom feed the babies a couple of
times. It will be even more fun, once
they open their eyes and are more
active, when mom leaves the nest.

You have a good day, Dad, and I love you.

I'll keep you posted.

Oh, Dad! You HAVE to click on
that second black square in my
blog. It is a hummingbird's nest
You can watch live, while Mum
sits on the nest. The babies
have hatched but don't have
anything more than pinfeathers
yet. They're in southern
California, I think.

Click on the blue arrow in the
second square!

Hi, Dad.

I do hope you've watched the potted
plant owl webcam I posted on my
blog. the picture quality is a little
fuzzy but Jr. is SO cute!

I think he'll be flying soon. He's
really starting to lose his baby feathers
and he's been doing a LOT of flapping.

Seen nothing interesting at my feeder and
birdbath lately. Just the usual sparrows,
the occasional Carolina Wren, mockers,
some myrtle warblers. I spot the blue birds
every now and then.

I still haven't spotted who is taking my
dried mealworms.

Hi, Dad.

The owl cam is working again. They will
have commercials but just wait. The cam
will flip back to the owl after a minute or

Oh, joy. I thought I was slowly getting a
handle on this new software and my work load.

I discovered late yesterday that I was not
seeing everything I was supposed to be able
to view. Something is not set right.
I've got 3-4 times the amount of work I
thought I had. Sigh.......

We were also advised today, that they will
now cap the number of leave us old timers
can accrue per month. We had been grand
fathered in at the State rates. Administration
says we are not State and we should not be
getting State leave rates. Our rates must
be the same as employees who were hired after
we went "Authority" and left the State.

We will only be allowed 30 days leave per year.
Holidays and sick leave must come out of that,
as well as 'vacation' or personal time.

They say this is because of budgetary concerns
and shorfalls, which may be true, but it is a
heck of a way to reward loyalty and longevity.

Not much I can do about it. As long as I am
still getting a paycheck......

Looks like we've got rain on the way.

Hi, Dad.

for some reason I can't see the owl cam I
put on my blog. It is working, 'cause I
see folks in the chat room talking about
what the chick is doing (on the original
website for the cam.)

work is... well, work. No worse but not
much better. It is taking me forever to
do anything and the backlog is piling up,
as are the complaints about how long it's
taking me to get things done.

Hope you are having a good day.

Love you.

Hi, Dad.

Doing OK here at work today. So far.
things can change after lunch.

Keep your fingers crossed.

That big black square in my blog comments?
If you see a blue circle with a blue arrow
inside, click on the blue arrow. it is
a webcam to an owl's nest on someone's
balcony in Johannesburg, S. Africa.

the chick is getting big and will
probably fly soon but still looks like
a big ball of dryer lint.

Sometimes they turn the cam off, so be
patient. It is up now at 12:30 our time.

Chick just took a leap to the balcony
floor and they're trying to moved the cam
around, looking for him.

Hi, Dad.

Happy Sunday. It is not a pretty
one, though. Overcast and a bit
damp but not really raining at the
moment or really cold.

Gus' trip to the vet was fine. He's
verging on 'portly.' He weighed in
at 13.1 lbs. We're going to have
to watch his food intake a bit more.

He got his shots. His teeth and ears
looked clean.

He wasn't happy about the whole thing
but was a good boy. He did give me
the cold shoulder for the rest of the

I made a run down to Walmart yesterday
afternoon for gas. Gas prices are
rising again. Back before Christmas,
I filled up at 2.99 a gallon. This time
it was 3.11. I've seen prices around
3.16, 3.15.

I'm going to make a pot of soup today.
We've been eating pork for almost 3
weeks straight and I'm porked out.
I remembered that I'd bought a package
of stew beef, when I bought the ham,
Saturday before Christmas. I had to
get some vegetable broth when I went
to Walmart but I had canned tomatoes
and I also had a bag of frozen 'soup
mix' in the freezer. Corn, onions,
butter beans, green beans, okra,
potatoes, carrots and celery. I did
buy a can of Rotel tomatoes with green
chilis; the mild version. It does
give a nice flavor to a pot of soup.
Just a little kick but not hot.
If that's not enough, I have some cans
of succotash, as well as a can or two
of tomatoes and okra.

Normally, I'd use some fresh veggies
but I'm being lazy. Besides, I need
to use up the supplies I have on hand,
before I go buying more.

Hope you two have a good day.

I'll get my chin up for work tomorrow!

Hi, Dad.

Just a brief 'hello' this morning.

I need to get showered, dressed and
take Gus in for his first annual
check up with the vet. He's due for
shots, too.

I took him in last year, when I
rescued him from the mean streets
of Charleston but I don't think
he really remembers it.

I got the carrier inside after work
yesterday and cleaned it up. Even
in the shed, it picks up dust and

Gus doesn't seem to be freaked out
by its presence. All my other
cats would run at the first
glimpse of the carrier. It was
then a rodeo to get my hands
on them, get them bunged inside and
ready to go.

We'll see how he feels about the
whole thing, afterwards.

It's clear and rather chilly here
this morning. I hope I can get
some clothes dried today. I
think we have rain forecast for
tonight/tomorrow. Or we did the
last time I looked.

You two have a good Saturday.

Hi, Dad, happy Friday.

Today seems a bit better. I'm still
not a happy camper and I'll be glad
to get out of here this afternoon.

I guess it will get better. I can't
imagine how it could get any worse!

Knock on wood....

It is cold and rainy here today.

I got Gus' appt set up for 9:45
tomorrow morning.

Your envelope is in the mail but
I don't think you'll get it
before Monday.

Hi, Dad.

I did not get your envelope in the mail
box this morning. There was something
else I wanted to include and I couldn't
find it last night. Hopefully, tomorrow.

I am upset today. Upset that I'm upset.
Upset that I can't seem to get a handle
on this new software. I feel old and
stupid and a disappointment to my
supervisor and manager. I'm upset about
the increasing number of complaints about
"You did this wrong, you did that wrong,
you're not routing these correctly, why
haven't you got these done, those done?
You're going to have to do better than

But if I say anything about how they're
giving work to me wrong, I get the brush
off: 'You'll just have to be patient.'

We have rain today, which makes it feel a
bit colder than what the thermometer

I've got to swing by the vet's office on
the way home and make an appt to bring
Gus in for his annual check up and shots.
