Ugh! What's disturbing is that's it's raining out and NOT cooling off! It's late August!! When will this end?

But your down south right?

I would be interested to see some comparisions with a place like Western NY.

"I thought summer in Maine ended on the Fourth of July! ;) "

You mean Summer STARTS the fourth of July. =) Or at least the tourists think it does.

I wouldn't go as far as saying Summer is almost over...we have over a month left! Plus, have you seen the long term forecast? Supposed to be hot and/or warm until the end of the month.

It's like August is trying to make up for the crappy weather, be my guest. A cooler night tonight...I am stoked!!
Member Since: November 28, 2006 Posts: 9 Comments: 433
I hate when August is warmer than July, and that always seems to happen, despite the fact that July is typically warmer.

It's felt like Summer here. I don't know too many days in the Winter where it's in the 70's & 80's. So far in August all 6 days have been sunny & warm, sometimes humid. We had a rough June & July but that's in the past now. I hate heat so I cannot wait until my favorite season is upon is!!! (The Fall) :)

No I don't have A/C, there's no real use for it here. What one or two 85+ degree days a year? Don't need the electric bill. However, A/C in the car is pretty sweet.

We're stuck in the 60's here right now. We briefly touched 71 here early afternoon but since then we've clouded over and are now about 5 degrees cooler.

A low of 70 huh? Don't recall one, but warm nights are like over 60 degrees. Hard to sleep with the stupid humidity.

Good Morning {{Bangor}}!

Sorry I haven't stopped by in awhile. Not much time on the blogs these days.

The rain back back then left and now it's back again. Between the house and the yard I've been staying busy. Yeah,it's a good thing.
Enjoying playing in the dirt.

Last week was a flooding week here and now that's it's dried out I'm back playing again. Hoping we don't see anything like that again.

We both know what it feels like to walk in mushy dirt. Hopefully you'll dry out soon.

Have a Great Day and stay dry.!!! :-)

I don't know about Walker's lows but here in Ellsworth (30 miles from Bangor) lows are in the 60's this time of year LOL something sounds off. I mean here now it is 10pm and it's 66 and 88% humidity, normal late June temps to me. I just noticed the record lows, most of those occured before I was born!
Member Since: November 28, 2006 Posts: 9 Comments: 433
Hey, Walker!

You mean to tell me that your nights still get down to upper 30's and lower 50's?! Your daylight lasts longer, too. We've been getting light about 5:45 or 6 am and we're dark by 9 at night.

Hope you've been doing good. How's the garden?
