True Maine Winter is now. January 1st to April 1st. Late March can tease us but you never know how long Winter will drag on...sometimes it's late April before we get a real Spring. December was a bit erratic than the norm. no doubt. The big storm 2-3 weeks ago(?) was only the real sigificant snow yet. Moderating temps. in the 30's later this week=heat wave =)

Good morning and Happy New Year Bangor!!
Denver is in the banana belt today...highs will be in the 60s. But by Sunday we'll have highs in the 20s and lows in the singles. Maybe a little snow tomorrow night. Just more of our normal roller coaster. But I must say the December temperatures in Bangor were quite Denver-like LOL! Unusual for Maine where you usually have a good, dependable winter. Have a great day :-)

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Can you ship enough of the snow down to give my yard a good soaking. There's only a little green left to the grass and we can't water the lawns enough to bring it back to life.

Have a Great Day! :-)

Come on down, you and I can have a snowball fight. With the weather in the 80's here it would last to long but it would be fun. Sand balls don't stick together very well.

Good Morning {{Bangor}}!
Can you send a little of the cool weather south?
Our temps in Nov. felt more like Christmas then now. It's nice to have the nicer weather on Christmas so the kids can enjoy their outside gifts, but to have to turn the A/C on it's to warm.
But that's why we live in Florida.

Have a great day! :-)

Good morning! Hope you had an enjoyable Christmas Day.

Ours was quiet but very nice. Opened our presents, got in a couple of Christmas movies, had a good dinner and just generally lazed around. I'm off today but Hubby had to head back to work.

christmas

We hear the beating of wings over Bethlehem and a light that is not of the sun or of the stars shines in the midnight sky. Let the beauty of the story take away all narrowness, all thought of formal creeds. Let it be remembered as a story that has happened again and again, to men of many different races, that has been expressed through many religions, that has been called by many different names. Time and space and language lay no limitations upon human brotherhood.

~New York Times, 25 December 1937, quoted in Quotations for Special Occasions by Maud van Buren, 1938, published by The H.W. Wilson Company, New York

Merry Christmas from our house to your house!
