When Cardinals attack

By: AkashaD , 11:09 PM GMT on December 22, 2011

Its hard to do anything in my meditation room right now. That same male Cardinal is back. He's beautiful but crazy. All grown up now I'm afraid he's going to hurt himself. I read this article on what's causing him to have this behavior. Its all good information but the little bastard is at every window on the back of the house. He started out attacking the chimney protection grate last week. Now he seems to follow me from room to room all day trying to kill himself on the glass.

He did this about 2 years ago as a juvenile but grew tired of his antics after 2 weeks. I'm hoping the same thing happen now before he kills himself. He has a mate and she just watches him in wonder. They are a part of 2 Cardinal couples and three Wren couples that live on our property. At first I thought he was attacking the chimney trying to find a suitable nesting site. His last 2 sites have been poached by snakes. Young birds make poor choices.
