Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 2:30 AM MDT Apr. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this
evening...

* timing... snow will increase in coverage, especially this
afternoon.

* Total snow accumulations... 6 to 8 inches with up to 10 inches
at the higher peaks.

* Winds/visibility... visibility will most likely be less than a
quarter of a mile at times this afternoon. Winds will be west at
15 to 30 mph this morning, becoming northwest and then north
this afternoon. Gusts up to 45 mph.

* Impacts... hazardous travel likely due to snow covered roads
and low visibility along the higher elevations of Interstate
80 west of Cheyenne. Those planning outdoor recreation in the
mountains should be prepared for snowy conditions and low
visibility at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
