... Winter Storm Watch in effect from late tonight through Tuesday
afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a Winter
Storm Watch, which is in effect from late tonight through Tuesday
afternoon.

* Timing... rain will move into the area late this afternoon. Rain
could change over to snow late tonight and persist through much
of the day on Tuesday.

* Main impact... six inches or more of heavy wet snow could fall
across parts of northeast Wyoming and the Black Hills.

* Other impacts... with many trees beginning to Leaf out... the
heavy wet snow could bring down some tree limbs.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means heavy snow... strong winds... freezing
precipitation... and cold temperatures are possible. Monitor NOAA
Weather Radio... local radio or television... or the internet for
updates on this potentially dangerous storm. Take time to prepare
