Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 5:48 AM MDT Apr. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon MDT
today...

* timing... periods of snow. Snow could be mixed with rain below
5000 feet. Snow will be locally heavy along the foothills. The
worst conditions in the Cody foothills will be in the higher
elevations along Highway 120 between Cody and Thermopolis
including the Meeteetse area.

* Total snow... 1 to 3 inches in Cody, but 3 to 6 inches above
5500 feet over the southern sections of the Cody foothills,
including the Meeteetse area.

* Main impact... highways will vary from wet to snow covered with
the worst conditions along the higher elevations of Highway
120 especially between Cody and Thermopolis. Northerly winds
of 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 45 mph in combination with
bursts of heavier snow will limit visibility to a few hundred
feet at times on ridge tops.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
and slick roads with limited visibilities. Slow down, and allow
extra time to reach your destination. Check the latest Road
conditions at wyoroad.Info or by dialing 5 1 1.
