Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 2:50 PM MDT Apr. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 PM MDT Thursday...

* timing... snow will intensify this evening, with moderate snow
expected at times tonight through Thursday.

* Total snow accumulations... 8 to 12 inches, with locally higher
amounts should thunderstorms develop on Thursday afternoon.

* Winds/visibility... southwest 10 to 20 mph tonight, becoming west
20 to 30 mph with higher gusts on Thursday. Visibility may be
reduced to one half mile at times in blowing snow.

* Impacts... hazardous travel likely due to snow covered roads
and low visibility. Those planning outdoor recreation in the
mountains should be prepared for snowy conditions and low
visibility at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
snow and strong winds will create restricted visibilities and
drifting snow along area roadways. Use caution when traveling...
especially in open areas.
