Issued: 3:07 AM MST Feb. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 am MST
Friday...

* timing... snow, heavy at times, will continue through Friday
morning.

* Total snow accumulations... 4 to 8 inches in the Laramie valley
and Upper North Platte valley, otherwise 7 to 13 inches in lower
elevations west of the Laramie range. 10 to 15 inches over the
southern and central Laramie range. Up to 2 feet of snow is
expected over the northern Laramie range.

* Winds/visibility... east to northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with
occasional gusts to 35 mph. Visibilities will be reduced to
under one half mile at times in falling and blowing snow.

* Impacts... mainly to transportation. Icy and snow packed roads
and low visibilities will lead to extremely dangerous or
impossible travel conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
