... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 11 am MST Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow... which is in effect
until 11 am MST Tuesday.

* Timing... snow will become more widespread through the morning
with moderate snow rates expected late in the morning through
the afternoon. Periods of light snow will then continue through
Tuesday morning.

* Total snow accumulations... 2 to 5 inches with locally higher
amounts over southwest facing slopes.

* Winds/visibility... west to southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with
gusts up to 40 mph today could reduce visibilities below one
mile in falling and blowing snow. The strongest winds are
expected along I-80 between Rawlins and Arlington.

* Impacts... mainly to travel and outdoor recreation. Those with
outdoor interests in the high country will experience
hazardous conditions with low visibilities and falling and
blowing snow.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
snow and strong winds will create restricted visibilities and
drifting snow along area roadways. Use caution when traveling...
especially in open areas.
