... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST early
this morning...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST early
this morning.

* Weather... the snow will diminish and end from west to east this
morning across southern Wisconsin.

* Snow and ice accumulations... additional snow accumulations less
than an inch.

* Wind/visibility... northwest winds 15 to 25 mph. Visibilities 1
to 2 miles... gradually improving.

* Impacts... roads remain hazardous due to the wintry mix last
evening and the light snow accumulations this morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving. The latest Road conditions for Wisconsin can be obtained
by calling 5 1 1 or by visiting www.511wi.Gov.





Flood Warning
Issued: 9:05 PM CST Feb. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wisconsin river at Portage.
* At 7:45 PM Friday the stage was 17.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 18.2 feet by
early Sunday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday
early afternoon.
* Impact... at 18.2 feet... floodwaters surround some seasonal homes
along Old River Road in the Blackhawk Park area. Numerous roads in
the Blackhawk Park area are affected by floodwaters. Old River Road
is flooded and closed. West Lane Road in the Long Lake area is
closed with about 4 feet of water over it in places. This level is
about a 20 percent chance flood meaning that there is a 20 percent
chance in any given year of the river reaching this level.
