Issued: 4:30 AM CST Feb. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am CST
Saturday...

* periods of moderate snow will continue today. The snow may be
heavy at times. The snow may mix with some sleet and freezing
rain or freezing drizzle at times south of Merrill.

* Total snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches is expected. Some
minor icing is possible.

* Hazardous travel is expected through tonight, including this
mornings commute. The combination of snow and blustery northeast
winds will reduce visibilities to less than one half mile at
times and produce some drifting of the snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel hazardous. If you must
travel use extreme caution, or wait until the storm has ended.
The latest Wisconsin Road conditions can be obtained by calling
511.
