The National Weather Service in La Crosse has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
La Crosse County in west central Wisconsin...
southwestern Jackson County in west central Wisconsin...
central Monroe County in west central Wisconsin...

* until 815 PM CDT Friday

* at 205 PM CDT, water levels remain high along many streams and
rivers across La Crosse, Southwest Jackson, and western Monroe
counties. There are still some roads closed near the La Crosse
river, with extensive flooding of lowlands and low laying roads
below the lake neshonic dam into The Marshes on the north side of
La Crosse. Water levels were near the crest in this stretch of the
La Crosse river.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
La Crosse, Sparta, Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, Bangor, Cashton,
North Bend, Dakota, Cataract, La Crosse Airport, Brice Prairie,
Franklin, Medary, Leon, Portland, Burns, Norwalk and Rockland.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
