Special Statement
Issued: 8:14 PM PST Feb. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Lowland snow showers are possible late tonight into Friday
morning...

A low pressure system will move south through the offshore waters
and bring a chance of showers to much of western Washington late
tonight into Friday. The air mass is cold enough that many of these
showers will fall in the form of snow or small hail, even at sea
level, until temperatures warm over the course of the day.

Moisture with this system is limited, so the best chances for
showers will be near the Washington coast and in the Hood Canal
area. However, showers are possible elsewhere as well. Snow
accumulations will be spotty, meaning some areas could see
accumulations of 1 or 2 inches and other locations could see
nothing. Any snow that accumulates will melt away later in the
day. Stay tuned to weather.Gov/Seattle for the latest updates.
