The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a

* Flood Watch for a portion of northwest Washington... including
the following counties... Clallam... Grays Harbor... Jefferson...
Mason and Whatcom.

* From Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening

* heavy rainfall is expected along the southwest slopes of the
Olympics and the Cascades of Whatcom and Skagit counties. The
Skokomish River is likely to hit flood stage Tuesday night and
Wednesday while some portions of other rivers... including the
Nooksack... Elwha... and Satsop rivers may approach flood stage
Tuesday night or Wednesday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be

Advisory is no longer in effect. The gale watch is no longer in
effect.

* Winds... southeast wind rising to 25 to 35 knots tonight.

* Waves... wind waves building to 4 to 6 feet.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occuring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience
and properly equipped vessels. It is highly recommended that
mariners without the proper experience seek safe Harbor prior to
the onset of gale conditions.
