Watches & Warnings

Special Statement
Issued: 1:49 PM PST Feb. 16, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Snow melt and some rain will continue to lead to an increased
threat of landslides in western Washington through Sunday...

There is a continued threat of landslides for The Lowlands of
western Washington at elevations below about 1500 feet through
Sunday.

Precipitation combined with melting snow has saturated the soil,
and has increased the threat for landslides at elevations below
1500 feet. Melting snow is very efficient at increasing soil
moisture and is not well represented in the landslide indices. The
threat will decrease Sunday through Monday as drier and cooler
air moves into the area.
