Areal Flood Watch
Issued: 4:13 PM EST Feb. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday evening...

The Flood Watch continues for

* all of northern New York and central and northern Vermont.

* Through Sunday evening

* minor to locally moderate flooding is possible due to the
combination of rapid snow melt and rainfall amounts between a
half and one inch. Ice jam flooding is most possible on rivers
in northeast New York and in northern Vermont, mainly north of
Route 15. Open water flooding is possible area wide.

* Rivers will rise overnight, with most rivers cresting after

rivers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
