Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 1:55 AM EST Jan. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Coastal Flood Advisory in effect until 10 am EST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a coastal Flood Advisory...
which is in effect until 10 am EST this morning.

* Location: areas along the James River.

* Timing: water levels are forecast to reach minor coastal flooding thresholds
during high Tuesday morning.

* Coastal flood impacts: minor inundation of water in and near low-lying
coastal areas is possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory means that onshore winds... wave action and/or tides
will combine to create flooding of low areas along the shore... and near tidal
rivers and creeks. Be prepared for the possibility of Road closures and minor
flooding of properties. If travel is necessary... do not attempt to drive
through water of unknown depth.

All tide heights are relative to mean lower low water.
Time of the high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.
Total tide combines astro tide and surge.
