... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 700 PM MDT for
south central Garfield County...

At 443 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated up to two inches of rain had
fallen across portions of the Escalante river drainage across
northern Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. This is likely
resulting in flash flooding along several tributaries of
the Escalante including Harris Wash

Flash flooding will continue across northern portions of the Grand
Staircase Escalante National Monument along the Escalante
river drainage through 7 PM.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Dry
washes... streams... and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes... even from distant rainfall.

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 630 PM MDT for
south central Wayne and northeastern Garfield counties...

At 423 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain continued across portions of Capitol Reef National Park
including the Grand Wash. Rainfall in excess of one inch has fallen
over the Grand Wash, and is likely resulting in flash flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
the Grand Wash and Capitol gorge within Capitol Reef National Park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
