... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Thursday
afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of deep south Texas, including the following areas,
Brooks, coastal Cameron, coastal Kenedy, coastal Willacy,
inland Cameron, inland Kenedy, inland Willacy, Jim Hogg,
northern Hidalgo, southern Hidalgo, Starr, and Zapata.

* Through Thursday afternoon

* widespread and slow moving moderate to heavy rainfall will
continue across the region through mid-day Thursday. This may
result in additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches with isolated
higher amounts of 3 to 4 inches or more.

* Heavy rainfall in a short period of time will cause small
streams and arroyos to fill quickly to bankfull, possibly
resulting in overflowing. Low-lying and poorly-draining areas
as well as urban locations could see widespread street
flooding with water depth up to 3-4 feet. Locations that saw
the heaviest rainfall today could quickly see a return to
life- threatening flooding.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
