Flood Warning
Issued: 8:04 PM CST Jan. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Flood Warning extended until Tuesday afternoon... the Flood
   Warning continues for the Guadalupe River near Bloomington.
* From Friday night to Tuesday afternoon... or until the warning is
* At 7:00 PM Thursday the stage was 18.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast: rise above flood stage by Friday late evening and
continue to rise to near 23.2 feet by Sunday morning. The
river will fall below flood stage by Tuesday afternoon.
* At 24.0 feet moderate lowland flooding occurs, with the river
reaching well into the flood plain. Any oil tank batteries, pump
jacks, and secondary roads near the river may be flooded.

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am CST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a dense
fog advisory, which is in effect until 9 am CST this morning.

* Visibility... 1/4 mile or less over many locations.

* Impacts... hazardous driving conditions. Motorists should drive
with caution and allow additional travel time. Use low
beams... reduce driving speed... and allow for plenty of room
between you and other cars.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use low-beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of


Fire Weather Watch

... Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from Sunday morning
through Sunday afternoon for very strong wind low relative
humidity for south Texas...

* affected area... La Salle... McMullen... Live Oak... Bee...
Goliad... Victoria... Webb... Duval... Jim Wells... Kleberg...
Nueces... San Patricio... Aransas... Refugio... Calhoun.

* Timing... strong west to northwest wind and critically low
relative humidity values are expected to commence during the
late morning hours Sunday. This condition is expected to
continue through Sunday afternoon.

* Wind... west to northwest wind 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 40
to 50 mph.

* Humidity... minimum relative humidity values 15 to 20 percent
over the Rio grand plains to 25 to 35 percent over the
coastal Bend and over the Victoria Crossroads.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
