Flood Warning
Issued: 9:44 PM CDT Jun. 21, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for the Oso creek near Corpus Christi.
* Until Friday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:15 PM Thursday the stage was 22.2 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast: the creek has crested and will continue to fall to below
flood stage by Friday night. The creek will then remain at or near
caution stage through Saturday evening.
* At 20.0 feet moderate lowland flooding occurs, from the headwaters
near Violet Road, or farm to Market 24, to Oso Bay. Secondary roads
and low bridges near the creek are also flooded

... Patchy dense fog this morning across portions of inland south
Texas...

Patchy dense fog will impact portions of the inland coastal plains
to the Victoria area this morning. Visibilities will fluctuate
greatly over short distances... but may lower to 1/4 mile or less
at times. Visibilities should rapidly improve by 8 and 9 am.

Motorists should prepare for rapidly changing visibilities. When
encountering fog, slow down and leave plenty of distance between
your vehicle and other vehicles. Only use low beam headlights, and
plan on leaving earlier if you normally commute in a fog-prone
area.

... Heat indices between 105 and 109 degrees are expected today...

The combination of warm temperatures and high dewpoints will
produce heat indices between 105 and 109 degrees today. Residents
with outdoor activities planned are urged to drink plenty of water,
wear light weight and light colored clothing and take frequent breaks
from the heat. Young children and pets should never be left
unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially
true during warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.
