... A strong cold front will bring windy conditions Thursday and
a freeze Thursday night...

An Arctic cold front will move through south central Texas late
tonight. Much colder conditions will occur Thursday through
Friday. Highs temperatures on Thursday will range from the upper
30s to low 40s across The Hill Country to mid to upper 40s
elsewhere.

Windy conditions are also expected, with north winds sustained at
15 to 25 mph and gusts to 35 mph across The Hill Country and
along and east of I-35. The windy conditions will make it feel
much colder during the day on Thursday, with wind chill values in
the mid to upper 20s across The Hill Country and mid 30s to around
40 elsewhere. Wind chill values will fall into the upper teens
across The Hill Country Thursday night and 20s elsewhere.

A freeze is expected across many areas Thursday night. Actual air
temperatures Friday morning will bottom out in the mid 20s across
The Hill Country and upper 20s to low 30s elsewhere. Freezing
temperatures across The Hill Country could last 9 to 12 hours in
some spots Thursday night through Friday morning. Across central
Texas and the Austin Metro area freezing temperatures could last
3 to 6 hours. Elsewhere, including the San Antonio Metro area,
freezing temperatures should be brief where they occur.
